Caregiver Support Group led by Margo Merin
If you are a caregiver, you can attest to how incredibly challenging this role can be—mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. At times, you may feel overwhelmed, isolated, and without anyone to talk with who can truly understand your situation. Perhaps becoming a member of our “TBT CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP” can be of benefit to you. Although each persons’ situation differs, there is a common thread of understanding among group members of what it means to be a caregiver. During each session, members are able to talk among themselves about how their lives have been forever altered, share information and ideas that may be helpful, and be supportive of one another in a meaningful way.
The group will meet in person, one evening each month, in Branford, CT. The time TBD. For additional information, or to register, contact Margo.
Margo Merin has a doctoral degree in social work, has professional experience in a number of different areas within the field and, at the current time, is involved primarily with the senior population. Of particular interest to her, for which she has specialized training and experience, are the areas of grief, loss, and bereavement; meditation; making relevant presentations to senior audiences; and assisting individuals with acquiring strategies for managing the transitions that arise as life unfolds. She also offers life coaching to those persons who are making major changes to their lives and who seek extra support and encouragement.
